Terms of Use

1. Subject Matter and Acceptance

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Astrópalo service, operated by Alice & Bob S.L. (CIF B67932186), with registered address at Calle Marie Curie, 7, Edif. Beta, Pl. 7 Ático, Parque Empresarial Rivas Futura, 28521 Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Madrid, Spain.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Description of the Service

Astrópalo is a web security monitoring service for WordPress sites. It analyses your websites from outside — as an attacker would — using the open-source Plecost library, without installing anything on your server or touching its content.

The service detects security vulnerabilities (outdated software, exposed credentials, known CVEs, etc.) and notifies you via dashboard and email. Astrópalo does not make changes to your website and does not fix issues automatically.

3. Registration and Account

To use the service, you must create an account with a valid email address and a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and acting in a professional or business capacity to use the service.

4. Your Obligations

• You may only add websites that you own or that you are explicitly authorised to monitor by their owner.
• You must not use the service for any illegal purpose, including unauthorised scanning of third-party systems.
• You must not attempt to interfere with the service's infrastructure, reverse-engineer it, or use it to harm third parties.
• You are solely responsible for how you act on the information provided by Astrópalo.

5. Plans and Billing

Astrópalo is offered under subscription plans with different features and limits. Current pricing is available on the pricing page. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.

6. Limitation of Liability

Astrópalo provides a best-effort monitoring service. We do not guarantee detection of all vulnerabilities and cannot be held liable for security incidents that occur despite using the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alice & Bob S.L.'s total liability for any claim arising out of the use of the service shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, design, text, and other content forming the Astrópalo service are the intellectual property of Alice & Bob S.L. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

The data about your own websites (scan results, findings) belongs to you. We process it to provide the service and do not claim any ownership over it.

8. Suspension and Cancellation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or have outstanding unpaid invoices, after giving reasonable notice where possible.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence provide otherwise.
